Post 10 – A Message to CD Projekt Red about Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red wants to create a gaming product that sells the way that Grand Theft Auto sells. CD Projekt Red was hoping that The Witcher 3 would have sold better because CD Projekt Red went all out with The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red went all over the planet to most of the gaming events that happens around the world. The Witcher 3 was damn near prefection as a product. I’ll explain down below. This is my message to CD Projekt Red concerning their up coming video game, Cyberpunk 2077.

i’ll add this first. the witcher 3 sold really well for what it was. a fantasy game. it doesn’t really have mass appeal such as Call of Duty and Fifa series. if year 1 is 100%, year 2 sold 50% and year 3 50%. selling more in year 3 over year 2 as well as selling more PC copies. the witcher series still selling well over the years. gta keeps selling well, years after release date. cd projekt red has the formula. now just to amp it up. Cyberpunk 2077.

cd projekt red did something that i haven’t seen in a long time, they released a trailer, Cyberpunk 2077 and the whole gaming community got on board. 6 years ago and all the gamers, around the world, still on board. it’s like everyone already knows the game is going to be good. there are no doubts. the only jokes i’ve seen is about Cyberpunk 2077 being released in year 2077.
you know that feeling, example, when you put bread dough into a oven and you just know that a perfectly baked slice of bread with jam… so you happily wait while it bakes. Cyberpunk 2077, it’s like that in the gaming world.

This is what cd projekt red has to do to make Cyberpunk 2077 the best damn product that sells and get traded for many years to come.

you do not loose your copy-rights when your product gets pirated. you use your copy-rights when someone takes your product, renames it, and passes it on like it’s their own.

pirated video games does not lead to fewer sales.

what piracy does is shares your information. you have a video game and piracy shares that info, all of it with the game included.

piracy is just a bad, scary name, to musk what piracy really is about. sharing information. think of piracy as an online library. if i go to the library and read a book that i like, it doesn’t mean i won’t go out and buy that book. i read douglas adams out of libraries. i still bought it.

piracy has shown to leads to more sales. piracy is not a bad thing. The Witcher 2 was released with DRM (#nodrm) and then tried to go after pirates. almost went bad for cd projekt red but sense prevailed. no more drm. the witcher 2 reached high levels of piracy. it spread. over the years witcher 2 was still selling and then the hype for the witcher 3. i believe those high piracy levels lead to big hype for the witcher 3. under witcher related articles, in the comment section, the hype was real. i did notice that a a lot of casual gamers, the call of duty, fifa, type, never knew about witcher 3. when witcher 3 is mentioned, #circlejerk and buy and play now. the hype was real. i believe piracy lead to that massive hype the witcher 3 got.

Cyberpunk 2077 has to bring ace visual quality.
cd projekt red, you have, have to treat the pc version of your product as your exhibition product. go all out with all the new tech. keep pushing the tech. if you keep pushing the tech, the gamers will never leave you. the highest settings needs to melt the pc. it needs to take years before we catch up to play the true beauty of Cyberpunk 2077.

when i first played the witcher 2 act 1, you knew you were playing a pc game. with the witcher 3 the pc version looked and played like a good console game. it never felt ultimate pc experience. you need visuals for that and those textures need to pop out.
Cyberpunk needs to have good high quality textures that pop the graphics card out of the machine.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the game that cd projekt red has to prove itself because everyone is waitng.
Visuals. Story. Cool Dialogue. Shoot shit with guns. lots of guns, upgradeable weapons. that is what you have to prove with Cyberpunk 2077.

let’s get to the Cyberpunk 2077 product.
No-DRM please. it’s not needed and will just turn your product into worthless shit. the Cyberpunk 2077 product has to have value, which means having NO-DRM.

Cyberpunk 2077, No Online Activation and No internet needed for installation.
the only thing online activation and making people connect to the internet to install and use the product, does is cut off gamers from purchasing the product.
we are around the 50% of the world connected to the internet. 8 billion people, add drm and online anything, 4 billion sale potential gone. when you add drm and online anything, you are only seeing to the 4 billion instead of the 8 billion people on the planet.

Xbox One needed online access before it would play games. Xbox One has always been behind PS4, 40-50% behind PS4? pc and xbox one sales about equal ps4 sales. the world is only around 50% to the internet. Online Activation and Online anything, just cuts sales in half.

the witcher 3 for pc did have a portion of the installation files that needed internet to get. which i believe did hurt sales. reasons piracy leaks. i don’t think anyone cared about piracy leaks spoiling their product. i believe that was a mistake. that cut into sales. you don’t want that with Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 the product.
$60 standard edition for Cyberpunk 2077, steelbook (cool artwork and no writing on the steelbook) with everything, map/map art, color booklet with lots of info to read, stickers, post cards…
$100 special edition – standard edition + art/info coffee table book…
$250 uber special – special edition + statue (get it right this time and quality as best you can for the price…
*pc version – blu-ray installation disc.
*no drm, no online anything.
*install and play.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch strong and will sell well over the years.

tltr… Cyberpunk 2077 treat pc version as your exhibition of tech. no-drm. no internet anything at launch to play the game. Cyberpunk 20177 needs uber visual and sounds. visual imagery and cool dialog. price and editions.

i know cd projekt red wants a product that sells at the levels of gta games. to do that, you have to make, a gta 3 inspired game. i have some ideas. i also got marketing ideas.

this post just reminds me that i never played the expansion packs for the witcher 3. better stories they say.
am waiting for the dual 1080ti, threadripper, 55″ oled sony 4k, before i want to play through the witcher 3 again with visual mods. but that will never happen. a dream for a dream pc setup, the only way to finish the witcher 3.
wait. how am i going to play Cyberpunk 2077 on this shitty laptop.
i need a sponsor.
